In addition, the Group maintains a broad range of sector-specific accreditations and approvals to meet client, regulatory and project requirements. This ensures we remain aligned with industry best practice while providing confidence to our clients and partners.

ISO 9001 - Quality Management

Quality management is central to the way Advance Group companies operate. Relevant divisions work within an ISO 9001:2015 accredited Quality Management System designed to promote consistency, efficiency and continual improvement. The management system is independently audited on a three-year cycle with annual surveillance assessments.

ISO 14001 - Environmental Management

Environmental management forms a key part of Advance Group operations. Applicable divisions operate under an ISO 14001:2015 accredited Environmental Management System focused on reducing environmental impact and improving resource efficiency. The system is independently audited on a three-year cycle, supported by annual surveillance visits.

ISO 45001 - Health & Safety Management

Health and safety management is fundamental across Advance Group companies. Relevant divisions operate within an ISO 45001:2018 accredited Health & Safety Management System that supports safe working practices and risk management. The system is independently audited on a three-year cycle, with annual surveillance assessments.

SafeContractor

SafeContractor is a recognised health and safety pre-qualification scheme. Certification demonstrates that relevant Advance Group companies have undergone independent assessment of their health and safety policies, procedures, and competence. The scheme provides clients with assurance of compliance and industry-aligned standards.

Constructionline Gold

Constructionline is a national register of pre-qualified suppliers for the construction industry. Gold membership confirms that applicable Advance Group companies have met enhanced verification standards across governance, financial stability, and compliance. This provides confidence to clients in both public and private sectors.

SMAS

SMAS is an SSIP-registered health and safety assessment scheme. Accreditation confirms that relevant Advance Group companies have been independently evaluated against the SSIP core criteria for health and safety management. Certification offers clients clear evidence of compliance with recognised standards.

ESOS

The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory energy assessment framework for qualifying UK organisations. Participation requires relevant Advance Group companies to measure, assess, and report energy usage across their operations. This process supports informed decisions around efficiency and energy reduction.

FORS

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is an accreditation programme for fleet operations. Certification recognises that applicable Advance Group companies meet defined standards for safety, efficiency, and environmental performance. The scheme promotes best practice across transport and logistics activities.

NERS / WIRS / GIRS

Advance Utilities operates as a fully accredited multi-utility connections provider. These accreditations confirm competence in the design and installation of gas, water, and electricity infrastructure. Certification supports delivery of compliant utility solutions across a range of project requirements.

CHAS

CHAS is a widely recognised contractor health and safety assessment scheme. Accreditation demonstrates that relevant Advance Group companies have satisfied the scheme’s requirements for health and safety management and compliance. Certification provides clients with assurance of assessed standards.

SSIP – Safety Scheme in Procurement

SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) is a scheme designed to streamline and improve health and safety standards within the procurement process. It provides a way for contractors and suppliers to demonstrate their commitment to safety, ensuring they meet specific safety criteria and reducing duplicated assessments. This helps organisations procure services and products from competent, compliant suppliers while promoting a safer working environment. Advance Construction Scotland Ltd has been verified by NQA under this scheme and meets the required safety standards.

Achilles UVDB certification (AUS)

Advance Utilities Scotland Ltd is Achilles UVDB verified, demonstrating our strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability in the utility sector. This verification covers key areas such as electrical, gas, and water infrastructure, ensuring we adhere to strict industry regulations and best practices. It reflects our dedication to delivering safe, efficient, and compliant services to our clients.
