Commitment to Training
Advance Construction Training was set up in 2016 with the initial intention of servicing our own workforce and background staff, however it very quickly became clear that with the excellent facilities we have, we could support the Industries drive to upskill the wider workforce.
With this in mind ACT now offer a wide range of fully accredited Health & Safety, Plant, SVQ’s and short duration training. Accreditations include: SQA, CPCS, NPORS and Site Safety Plus among others.
Delivering Training Excellence
Our Instructors have a wealth of industry experience and with this knowledge devise tailored training courses to meet individual company requirements.
This approach is in line with the company’s drive for excellent health and safety performance, quality, cost awareness and to ensure legal compliance throughout the industry.
“We believe in listening to our customers’ expectations & feedback, and then we devise a training programme to ensure we can meet that.”
Competent, Compliant Workforce
Advance Construction recognises the importance of training and development of its employees in contributing towards the effectiveness of the company, the service provided to our customers and benefiting the communities in which we operate.
We also recognise the need to maintain a committed and competent workforce and our responsibility to provide adequate training to assist employees in developing their skills knowledge and behavioural attitudes to enable them to work competently, efficiently and safely.
Give Your Staff The Right Skills
Training and development is offered externally and undertaken internally to equip employees and clients with the skills knowledge and understanding, to enable them to function in the working environment with confidence.
As a company we directly employ people across all our service sectors as we believe this leads to a more consistent service.
Allowing our customers to have confidence that they’ll be benefiting from the right expertise on every project.
Investing In Advance People
Internally each year Advance invest in excess of £100,000 in training across the company that’s devised to meet a number of different goals:
For our site-based employees Advance commit to a CITB approved annual training programme. This ensures that their skills are kept up to date whatever their role. It also enables them to provide our customers with advice and recommendations based on their knowledge of the latest innovations and the solutions which will deliver the right results. Of course, our employees are not just based on site. Our service also depends on the behind the scenes staff, focusing their training on excellence in customer care as well as business development skills.
Meeting Customer Expectations Every Time
Whilst every business has its own goals, we believe in combining our vision with the needs of our customers and our employees’ own aspirations. Each year our Training Manager devises a comprehensive training plan that combines all of these factors into one detailed matrix. Our Academy delivers this training plan to cover the skills needed to deliver each contract but which also focuses on our customers’ own expectations. We believe in maintaining open communication with our customers both face to face and via our customer satisfaction surveys. That allows us to both anticipate their needs but also to adjust and improve standards if required.
Of course, our training programmes don’t just benefit our customers. Every employee has their own goals and ambitions for the future. Our training is designed to ensure that our employees progress in a way that benefits them as well as us. We believe that supporting our people and investing in their development creates a highly motivated work force.
Our training academy was created to ensure that we deliver the right results for ourselves, our customers and our people. With the right training and employees who are motivated to excel, everyone succeeds.
“It’s important to us to give our employees and clients the very best training available, and then support them every step of the way to ensure they achieve the necessary skills, relevant certification – and of course job satisfaction.”
