Commitment to Training

Advance Construction Training was set up in 2016 with the initial intention of servicing our own workforce and background staff, however it very quickly became clear that with the excellent facilities we have, we could support the Industries drive to upskill the wider workforce.

With this in mind ACT now offer a wide range of fully accredited Health & Safety, Plant, SVQ’s and short duration training. Accreditations include: SQA, CPCS, NPORS and Site Safety Plus among others.

Investing In Advance People

Internally each year Advance invest in excess of £100,000 in training across the company that’s devised to meet a number of different goals:

For our site-based employees Advance commit to a CITB approved annual training programme. This ensures that their skills are kept up to date whatever their role. It also enables them to provide our customers with advice and recommendations based on their knowledge of the latest innovations and the solutions which will deliver the right results. Of course, our employees are not just based on site. Our service also depends on the behind the scenes staff, focusing their training on excellence in customer care as well as business development skills.

Whilst every business has its own goals, we believe in combining our vision with the needs of our customers and our employees’ own aspirations. Each year our Training Manager devises a comprehensive training plan that combines all of these factors into one detailed matrix. Our Academy delivers this training plan to cover the skills needed to deliver each contract but which also focuses on our customers’ own expectations. We believe in maintaining open communication with our customers both face to face and via our customer satisfaction surveys. That allows us to both anticipate their needs but also to adjust and improve standards if required.
