Northern piling and Advance construction have worked together on many successful projects, which led to discussions on joining forces to be able to offer the client the “full package”.
Northern piling was established in 2010 and have grown to Scotland’s leading Driven piling specialists.
Northern Piling have worked on a diverse range of projects in Commercial, Industrial, Public Sector, Civil Engineering and Residential sectors. Working on contracts from £10k to £8m, using state of the art equipment and varying from the straight forward to the more unusual.
Sustainability and Carbon Footprint Reduction
We aim to provide sustainability in our projects and we are happy to discuss the ways in which we can reduce the carbon footprint of your construction project.
Our site teams are fully conversant with the practical skills involved with planning and supervising piling and ground beam works in conjunction with the construction programme and expectations of the main contractor.
Our driven piles will be installed using state of the art hydraulic pile driving rigs, which are able to take on even the toughest jobs and conditions, are designed and developed to provide the best possible production efficiency and value for the money in deep foundation solutions for any pile driving purposes; steel, concrete or wooden piles.
Expertise in Piling and Ground Beam Works
Precast ground beams are cast to the required lengths in an off-site factory and brought to site where they are then lowered into place, spanning between the tops of piles. Small in situ concrete ‘stitches’ are used to connect the beams securely to each other and the piles.
The main advantage of precast beams is that they are much quicker for a large project and they can be cheaper on projects with many duplications of house types, such as social housing.
This is a highly engineered foundation solution offering an alternative solution to in situ ground beams. A non-weather dependant solution designed to improve installation time whilst minimising waste.
This solution compliments all our piling techniques.
