3rd June 2020We are delighted to announce our new charity partner – Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity who are providing vital support services to children and families across Glasgow & the West who need it most during COVID-19 and beyond.
Before lockdown, our team had the opportunity to see first-hand the difference fundraising makes at the children’s hospital and we were blown away by what we saw. It really was not a difficult decision to make in choosing this charity as our partner.
To help highlight our ongoing commitment to the charity, our low loader truck has been given a distinctive new look. We hope kids enjoy seeing it out on the road as much as we do and we look forward to launching a special competition with our supporters after lockdown is over.
Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity raises money to enhance care and hospital experiences for babies, children and young people from across Scotland. As well as supporting the children’s hospital, the charity also funds enhancements in all three of the city’s neonatal units, and related paediatric services like Skye House – a specialist unit at Stobhill for young people with serious mental health conditions.
Kirsten Sinclair, Chief Operating Officer at Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity said: “The support of local businesses matters more than ever during this challenging time. We are incredibly grateful to Advance Construction Scotland Ltd for their outstanding support.”
“We rely entirely on donations and fundraising to allow us to continue supporting hospital families during their darkest days with our charity-funded Play Programme and Family Support services. The public have shown such tremendous generosity for our young patients and hospital heroes over these challenging months, and we hope that beyond Covid-19, we can continue to count on this invaluable support.”
