Advance Construction are one of our preferred contractors, having secured repeat business from Taylor Wimpey East Scotland over the past 4 years to a value in excess of £15 million.

TAYLOR WIMPEY

Ironside Farrar are the contract Administrator and Designer for the site preparatory works for a reidential development at Hopefield in Bonnyrigg where Advance Construction are the Principal Contractor. The contract award value is circa £2m and the works include roads infrastructure, foul and surface water drainage, SUDS, management of multi-utility infrastructure, earthworks and the treatment of mineshafts.

The majority of their operatives are directly employed and have the necessary skills to carry out works to a high standard of workmanship. They also have their own extensive plant resource which is well maintained and utilised efficiently.

The works are currently on programme and within budget. There have been no issues in reviewing valuations or additional works, and we would not consider them to be claims conscious.

IRONSIDE FARRAR

David R Murray & Associates have worked with Advance Construction on numerous projects over the years. These projects have varied from large residential projects to site specific problem solving on behalf of Advance Construction.

We have always found Advance Construction to be a competent and proactive contractor, with extensive experience both on site and in house, resulting in a benefit to ourselves and our clients.

DAVID R MURRAY & ASSOCIATES

Advance Construction (Scotland) Limited carried out their first groundworks contract for Cruden Building & Renewals Limited in 1998 and since then have completed, or are workng on 36 projects the total value of which will be in excess of £30million.

The groundworks packages have ranged in value from £100,000 to £3million plus and have in the main been social/private housing projects, although they also carried out the groundworks at our new office. Without exception they have completed their works package either on programme, or ahead of programme and to a very high standard. The works have been completed within tight cost constraints and the final accounts have been agreed timeously and without dispute.

Advance Construction (Scotland) Limited are a professionally managed company with excellent procedures including health & safety and we look forward to a continuing working relationship with them as one of our key groundworks sub contractors.

CRUDEN BUILDING & RENEWALS LIMITED

When first introduced to Advance Construction Scotland in 2008 as our appointed civils contractor for our current WLPH1 development it was clear from a technical basis that Advance Construction Scotland are far superior in relation to other civils contractors we are currently utilising within the Group.

Advance Construction is a company which works with clients, not against. Should any issues arise weather engineering related or other, it is Advance who bring to the table possible solutions which are typically discussed and agreed with all parties. These solutions may not suit Advance themselves within a financial and contractual element however they impose the best results for ourselves.

It is on that note that I am in a position to make reference to any prospective employers, that to employ  this company namely Advance Construction can only enhance and accredit sustainability partnering and team building  which in this current climate are vital in securing repeat business and success within our industry.

It has been the my pleasure to have worked with all members of Advance Construction in completing what can only be described  as construction projects of the highest quality.

BETT PARTNERSHIPS

Advance Construction Scotland Ltd have been carrying out the ground work packages on behalf of Brownfield Regeneration who is the Client/ Developer. The scope of works included enabling works, roads infratructure, foul and surface water drainage.

The works are adequately resourced and the Advance management structure is of a high standard. The site staff is responsive to instructions and comments, are able to interpret design drawings and implement the works accordingly in accordance with the specification with intervention by the Client/Engineer team sought when appropriate.

Operatives are directly employed and have the necessary skills and experience to carry out works to a high standard of workmanship. They also have their own extensive plant resource.

The works are currently on programme and within budget. To date, there have been no issues in reviewing valuations or additional works and we would not consider them to be claims conscious.

A high priority is given to Health & Safety across all areas of their activities from site to instructions.
