Advance Construction Scotland invests heavily in training for employees across the organisation. In 2012 we spent approx £212,000 on training and have a commitment to continually investing heavily on our people. The company is committed to a CITB approved annual training programme for site-based employees, but also focuses on customer care and business development skills for the teams at head office.
Technical Director David Wilson compiles a detailed training matrix every year, planned to meet customer and contract needs as well as the ambitions and goals of each employee.
As a result, the staff is highly motivated to achieve success for the company, for the customer, and ultimately for themselves.
“We believe in listening to our customers’ expectations of our staff, and then we devise a training programme to ensure we can meet that,” says David Wilson. “It’s important to us to give our employees the very best training available, and then support them every step of the way to ensure they achieve the necessary skills, relevant certification – and of course job satisfaction.”
